Part two of SCHRANKE’s EP series starts with the title track named „Safeword“. The track combines shreds of political vocals, industrial soundscapes, ambient pads, raw kick drum, whipping percs and epic melodies into a pounding Techno banger.
The Metaraph Remix speeds up the tempo , adds some heavier elements and creates an epic 8 minute Hardtechno track, long breaks meet hissing percussions, pounding drums meet catchy leads. A very own interpretation but without losing sight of the original mix.
"Holes", the third track of the EP keeps the pace but changes the energy and lets us slip into other spheres rather dreamy. Despite the industrial, creaky kick drum, cosmic structures appear in front of the inner eye, reinforced by the fairytale voice of the vocals.
The B side starts with the simple Hardstyle banger "F.D.P." The hatred of police and state authority is in the foreground here, emphatically performed by screaming Knatt. Supported by raw percussions, a pounding kick and whipping lead sounds, there is no doubt about the political attitude of the protagonists.
"999" delivers a driving acid bass line, energetic melody and sharp drum patterns, this track drives us back and forth on the dance floor. The last two tracks "Crystal Tears" and "Safeword", both in the Glitchgirl Remix, bring a whole new vibe to the EP. Breakcore, Hardcore, Jungle and D'n'B are to be mentioned here as references, Glitchgirl impressively shows what sound she stands for. A true master of her art. This EP leaves us totally hyper, ecstatic and with a heart beating at 200 bpm <3
